We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register for or participate in any of our Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us, our products, or our Services, or otherwise contact us. We collect this information in order to respond to your contact, provide the Services you requested, better understand your needs, and to provide you with better service.

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and our Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. Payment Information. Some of our Services require payment. We also accept donations and other forms of financial support to help cover the cost of offering so many of our Services for free. If you choose to purchase any of our paid Services or make a donation to support our free Services, then your payment-related information, such as credit card or other financial information, is collected by a third-party payment processor on our behalf. We use different third-party payment processors depending on the Service. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies. The information we collect includes:

Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, and settings and information about your activity in the Services (such as date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports – sometimes called “crash dumps” – and hardware settings).
  • Device Data. We collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the Services. • Location Data. We collect location data such as information about your device’s location which can be either precise or imprecise. How much information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Services. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data that tells us your current location (based on your IP address). You can opt out of allowing us to collect this information either by refusing access to the information or by disabling your Location setting on your device. However, if you choose to opt out, you may not be able to use certain aspects of the Services.

For example, if you interact with us on a social media platform, then certain information from your social media account will be shared with us, which may include information that is part of your profile or your friends’ profiles.

In rare circumstances, if we reasonably believe that someone may be at imminent risk of serious physical harm or self-harm, we may access or disclose limited personal information to appropriate emergency response services. We will limit such disclosures to the minimum amount of personal information necessary and use this information solely to protect life or physical safety.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to gather information when you interact with our Services. Some online tracking technologies help us maintain the security of our Services and your account, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save your preferences, and assist with basic site functions.

Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and / or to reject cookies. However, if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Services.

We also permit third parties and service providers to use online tracking technologies on our Services for analytics and advertising, including to help manage and display advertisements, to tailor advertisements to your interests, or to send abandoned shopping cart reminders (depending on your communication preferences). The third parties and service providers use their technology to provide advertising about products and services tailored to your interests which may appear either on our Services or on other websites.

To the extent that these online tracking technologies are deemed to be a “sale” / “sharing” (which includes targeted advertising, as defined under the applicable laws) under applicable U.S. state laws, you can opt out of these online tracking technologies by submitting a request to those third parties.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to minors, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor’s use of the Services. In accordance with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, if we receive actual knowledge that anyone under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us without the requisite and verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information from the Site as quickly as is reasonably practical.

The Services may contain links to other websites, apps, or platforms that may not be controlled by us. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of every website, app, or platform that collects personal information. We do not endorse, screen or approve, and are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of other websites, apps, or platforms. Visiting these other websites is at your own risk.

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.

At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, then we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.

We may also transfer your data from the U.S. to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating our Services. By providing any information, including personal information, on or to our Services, you consent to such transfer, storage, and processing.
